COTTON
What can we do to help increase cotton yields? We have a line of products that have been found tried and true by farmers across America. This is what we have to greatly boost your yield of cotton.
First and foremost, broadcast 1 gallon of BF-888 Soil Biological the first time across your field. Why BF-888? Because nematodes, nematicides, salts, fungus, mold, mildew, rot and plant toxins are taking a terrible toll on cotton productivity.
a.
Nematicides.
Not only are they DANGEROUS to handle, but nematicides are dangerous to your
soil. They kill everything in their path, including the highly beneficial
micro-organisms in your soil. As we try so hard to protect the life of our
plants, every time we use a nematicide we strike a death blow to our soil. But
what can we do against the ravages of nematodes?
Enter BF-888 Soil Biological. BF-888 is
not a nematicide. Rather, it is composed of 64 different beneficial bacteria
cultures plus enzymes. Coupled together with important nutrients, it has
proven it’s merit in revitalizing soils rapidly, safely, and economically. Does
it kill nematodes? No. We do eat their eggs! But studies suggest that
parasitic nematodes thrive in sick, salty soil. We go in and clean up the soil,
making it less friendly for parasitic nematodes. When you broadcast 1 gallon of
BF-888 your first trip across the field in the spring, don’t be surprised if it
completely eliminates your need for nematicides. That’s what it is doing for
others.

Salts.
Many chemicals and fertilizers contain salt as a carrier, preservative, or
safety agent. Wet years and irrigation also bring salts to the surface. Salt
is a sterilizer, and the beneficial bacteria in the soil have trouble living in
a saline environment. The benefits and jobs that these bacteria do are now
negatively altered. Stalks, mulch, and organic matter are now being oxidized
rather than being absorbed into the earth. This carbon is not being converted
into sugar. When this energy in the soil decreases, the nutrient content of the
plant will also decrease. Unhealthy plants draw insects; you apply more
insecticide, costing you more money.
BF-888 can help take care of your salt
problems. Included in BF-888 are bacteria for use in salt remediation. Our
bacteria eat salt for lunch, bringing production back up.
c. Fungus, mold, mildew and rot. BF-888 is very effective at reducing all of these. Our micro-organisms not only devour the fungus, mold, mildew & rot, but their food source as well.
d. Plant toxins. We all know that virgin soil grows great cotton. One of the reasons is that cotton releases toxins into the soil, and over the years, their concentration increases. Tech Ag would like to help return your soil to a virgin condition. BF-888 will help us do that. Our bacteria breaks down the toxins. This means much improved yields.
If you only use one of our products for your cotton, BF-888 needs to be that product! At only $26/acre, it’s a real deal!
Second, instead of using an inoculant, we encourage you to put ½ gal. of HA Plus in the row on the seed at planting. It has proven to be up to 5 times more effective than inoculants alone. For only $7.50 an acre, it will get your cotton up and going quickly.
Third, put 8 ounces of Carbon Plus in the row, on the seed, and 8 to 12 ounces Carbon Plus to other spray applications.
Fourth, add 1/20th gallon per acre of Ocean Trace™ into your tank mix each time you spray your cotton. This small application helps to supply some of the trace minerals your cotton might be missing.
Fifth,
cotton needs nitrogen. But, as you know, nitrogen is a gas. Even when liquid
nitrogen is applied, over half of it can wick off. Should you have heavy rains,
they will leach the nitrogen on down into the ground out of the root zone. With
Urea, the losses are even worse. Urea needs to be incorporated into the soil
within 3 hours time. If it lays on the ground for a week without rain, you can
lose up to 90%. Our
10% Calcium Plus
does a wonderful job stabilizing
nitrogen, so that you get practically no loss.
When your cotton squares, consider applying 3 gal. 10% Calcium Plus with your nitrogen.
Our Calcium MUST be put on with or before your Nitrogen to be effective. Many
of our customers find that when they put on 3 gal. of our Calcium, they can cut
back the amount of Nitrogen they use per acre by 50%, and actually have more
Nitrogen available to the plant than if they had put on a higher rate of
Nitrogen without our Calcium.
Calcium is the king of crop nutrients. Our Calcium is 100% soluble, plus it contains micro nutrients and stimulators. Our Calcium will stabilize your Nitrogen. It will keep it in the root zone and spoon feed it to the plant throughout the growing season. When Calcium is flowing in the soil, all the nutrients will flow in the soil. Calcium frees up other nutrients, making them available to the plant!
Not only will you make your Nitrogen so much more available to the plant, but you will get the wonderful benefits of our Calcium. Our 10% Calcium Plus is approximately 300 times more available than gypsum or ag lime. In field studies, putting on 3 gal. per acre of our Calcium has shown that it can do the following:
Help your soil in fighting off soil fungi and disease.
Raise the sugar level in the plant, making it much more resistant to insects.
Decrease fertilizer requirements. (more of what you put on is getting to the plant)
Help to balance the p.H. in your soil.
Decrease herbicide costs. (your healthy crop will have a greater edge over weeds)
Increase the beneficial bacteria activity in the soil, making nutrients available to the plant.
Carry the harmful salts down out of the root zone.
Increased soil health = increased plant health = higher yields!
Sixth, next fall after harvest, broadcast 1 gal. of HA Plus across your field.
