WHY USE SEA MINERALS?
2.
WHICH SEA MINERAL PRODUCT IS RIGHT
FOR YOUR GARDEN?

Sea Minerals
are ideal for returning
micronutrients to the soil, the plant, and to
livestock. Why? Because the Ocean contains all 90 naturally occurring
elements on the
Periodic Chart
of Elements, which includes 76 minerals. But are all of these
minerals needed by plants and animals? Nobody really knows just which
minerals that plants and animals need. It is interesting that plant sap and
human blood plasma have all of these minerals, and almost in perfect
proportion to
what is found in the ocean.
Every few years, science discovers that plants need another one of these minerals
that before was deemed unnecessary. In Europe, they now consider 45 minerals
as being beneficial to plants. In the USA, so far only about 20 are recognized,
but the number is growing. For instance, it has been discovered by Richard
Olree that many miscarriages of male babies can be attributed to a lack of
trace amounts of arsenic.
Enzymes Need Minerals.
Sea mineral liquid fertilizer contains the elemental minerals that are
needed as building blocks to produce enzymes. Every enzyme centers around one
or more minerals, and if these minerals are missing, the enzyme is absent or
compromised. There are so many enzymes that are necessary to life, and
science has only started to understand them, plus the minerals they require.
When a plant or animal has available sea mineral liquid salt fertilizer has
the complete buffet of elemental minerals at its service. Having the minerals
it needs to produce enzymes results in healthier, robust plants, resulting in
healthier animals.
Plants Need Minerals to
Make Vitamins.
A 2 year study was done in Montana on wheat using sea minerals. Each year,
samples of wheat grown with and without the liquid sea minerals was sent to a
lab for analysis. Lab reports revealed that vitamin content in the wheat was
anywhere from 11% to 35% higher in wheat treated with the sea minerals. What
caused the higher vitamin content? Every vitamin keys on one or more
minerals. When sea minerals are fed to plants, plants have the nutrients they
need for better vitamin production.
Five
Sea Mineral Products Are
Available.
Which One is Right for You?
There are a number of companies selling sea mineral fertilizer
products. Do each of these products work? Yes they do. A product called
Ocean Solution is produced by taking a ship out to sea, collecting ocean
water, and through a proprietary process concentrating it, yet retaining all
of the original minerals in the ocean water (including all the sodium
chloride). For application, this product is diluted 100 to 1 with water and
sprayed on the leaf of the plant. Because it supplies the full spectrum of sea
minerals, plants have micronutrients they need, resulting in a more nutritious plant
which has a
stronger defense against disease and insect invasion.
Another company sells sea mineral solids, called
Sea-90. They collect
the solids that are left behind when ocean water is evaporated all the way
down to a solid. Once again, since this product has all the minerals from the
ocean, it supplies plants with all the trace minerals of the ocean, with all
the accompanying benefits. This product is especially good where soil is low
in sodium, since it is 90% sodium chloride. It also works well as a free
choice mineral to be fed to cattle. Humans receive this same advantage when
they use Celtic Sea Salt instead of table salt (NaCl). You get the taste of
salt, but with all the goodness of the other minerals present in the ocean.
A
third company sells sea mineral liquid fertilizer under the name
C-GRO.
This product is a liquid product made with part ocean water and part river
inlet water. It is lower in sodium than Ocean Solution or Sea-90. Its claim
to fame is its biological content, but it also supplies needed sea minerals to
soil and plant.
The
fourth company sells a
very dense liquid sea mineral concentrate. If you have soil that is high in
sodium, you may want to consider
Ocean Trace, a low sodium, liquid
sea mineral fertilizer in which 100 gallons of ocean water is evaporated down
to 1 gallon. In the process of evaporation, 99%
of the sodium and 90% of the Chloride solidifies, making the
liquid that remains very low in sodium chloride. Salt (NaCl) is a sterilizer, so
having a concentrated sea mineral minus most of the salt can be a very good
thing. Large amounts of sodium are toxic to plants. With just a single
foliar application, the nutrients from up to 50 gallons of ocean water may be
applied per acre without hurting the plant. It can be applied to the soil,
used with an irrigation drip line, or applied to the leaves in foliar
applications. This product may also be given to livestock in their drinking
water. A form of this product,
Ionic Sea Minerals,
is available for human consumption.
A fifth
company, Eco Organics, sells products called
EcoVie and
EcoVie X5
con. Comparing the minerals in EcoVie and Ocean Trace (next paragraph),
the EcoVie isn't nearly as concentrated a source of minerals. However, the
ExoVie X5 con is more concentrated than Ocean Trace.

Whichever sea mineral
product you choose, the fact that you are applying sea minerals makes you a
winner. Your plants get the full range of micronutrients from the ocean, not
just basic Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium as in most chemical
fertilizers. Plants fed with sea minerals are more nutritious, full of
enzymes and vitamins, and contribute to the betterment of mankind.
